Most of the people will only use French press technique to brew a hot coffee. It is very understandable, since most of the French press brewing tutorial only include the hot coffee variant. But that does not mean that your French press coffee machine is not capable in helping you serving cold coffee.
It is Similar to The Hot Coffee Brewing Method!
Basically, to make a cold coffee using French press machine is not that different with the hot coffee variant. You only need to put grounded coffee in the container and add boiling water to it. It has to be noted that the grounded coffee should be grounded mildly and not too soft. This is important because if the coffee ground is too soft, coffee particle will escape while it is pressed. After the grounded coffee and the hot water mixed, you just have to press the container with the presser. This is important to separate water and the remaining coffee ground.
Different with making the hot coffee variant, you may need to add water with normal temperature. Before you press the container, have to put the machine in the fridge and wait over a night.
